Deacon Miguel Pagan

I am Deacon Miguel A. Pagan. I was ordained a permanent deacon for the Catholic Diocese of orlando on June 12, 2004. I have been at St. Maximilian since the first day the parish opened. I am bilingual (English & Spanish). I love celebrating the Feast of St. Francis and Blessing the Pets as well as praying the Station of the Cross on Good Friday. In November of 2011 I will retire from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office with 25 years of service to the Citizens of Orange County. I leave the law enforcement profession with 32 years of experience. I am a part-time Adjunct Professor at Keiser Univiversity. I have been married to my wife Lourdes for 31 years. We have two children, three grand-children, one dog and five birds. I love to travel and organize pilgrimage trips to Israel. I ocassionaly facilitate EMHC and Minister to the Sick workshops. Deacon Jim Multeri

I am a deacon assigned to St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.  I am a Systems Engineer with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems located in the Research Park just south of the University of Central Florida. As a deacon, I assist Fr. David at Mass and at Baptisms and with the sacristy.  I am also assigned to Catholic Charities’ Peace and Justice Department to coordinate retreats for the various police and fire departments and within the Diocese, along with the Lay Prison Ministry personnel.  I can be reached via my cell phone – 847-687-3281, or by email at deaconjim@avaloncatholic.org

Deacon Felix Montanez

I am a Permanent Deacon ordained in the Diocese of Orlando on June 9, 2007 assigned to St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.  I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and I work for Orange County Security Enterprises Department as an electronic technician.  I am also a Chaplain and I volunteer my time with the Orange County Sheriff in supporting the community in spiritual needs, especially in tragic moments.   I am the former president and active participant of Renovacion Conyugal, a Spanish Marriage Enrichment ministry.  I oversee the marriage Enrichment Programs for our parish and I support the Spanish marriage preparation program of our diocese.  I really enjoy working with the community of St. Maximilian and assisting Father David with Spanish and English masses and any area that I am needed.   I can be reached via my cell phone at 407-968-6501, or by email at deaconfelix@avaloncatholic.org

Tony Roman

I am the Youth Minister for middle and high school teens.  In 2008, I became a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, and in July 2010 became Youth Minister.  I am naturally from Chicago, but I have also lived in Puerto Rico, where I was actively involved with Youth Ministry since I was a teen.  I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

I am also a dean at a middle school. Previous to being a dean, I was a Language Arts teacher for 7 years. I am blessed to work with a great team at St. Max.  Our main goal is for our teens to grow closer to God through works of service, retreats, and community events. youth@avaloncatholic.org

Lisa Lozano-Diaz

I am grateful to support the Stewardship & Development Commission with administrative duties.  My role includes being involved with the Commission Weekends held throughout the year, ensuring that our parish data base is updated regarding ministry involvement.  I am responsible for the administrative duties of Our Catholic Appeal from the Diocese in February as well as organizing gatherings for our Alive in Christ Capital Campaign, which raises money to build a parish community center.  Please contact me with your questions regarding pledges for Alive in Christ, Our Catholic Appeal or Faith Direct, I am glad to assist you.  Another part of my role is working with my Commission to bring the annual stewardship report and sacrificial giving to our parish.  Keeping the parish website updated and handling communications is another aspect of my responsibilities.  Feel free to reach me at stewardship@avaloncatholic.org

Kathy McGuinness

I am a Pastoral Care Advocate.  My duties include coordinating Ministry to the Sick visits to our parishioners at their homes or medical facilities.  I coordinate our ministers to preside at our weekly Communion Service at LifeCare of Orlando.  I coordinate our Outreach Ministry to our Parish families and community families that may need temporary financial help, or a home cooked meal delivered to their home.    On the weekends I can also be found at the Welcome Table in the lobby before and after Mass to answer any questions you have about our Parish.  You can reach me at 407-455-3404 or outreach@avaloncatholic.org

Ana Sacher

I am a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in charge of the parish’s accounting and financial recordkeeping.  I work together with the Finance Council to ensure that our parish operates in accordance with diocesan financial guidelines. In addition to our weekly collections, you might wish to consider other ways of sharing your treasures with our parish such as stock donations, estate giving, and so on. When you call the parish rectory on Monday or Wednesday, you will talk with me, the parish secretary.
