The purpose of our ministry is to have our youth involved in our parish and community while deepening their faith and relationship with God. Our ministry targets high school teenagers and middle school youth.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: (The Parish calendar will display Youth Group events)

We meet during the 1st, 2nd and 5th Sunday at the Avalon Safety Center at Founder’s Square Drive. On the 3rd Sunday we will have our Monthly Outing, which can include different things like go ice skating, bowling, zip lining, rock climbing, have a game night, visit Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine, visit San Pedro Center, etc. We also create opportunities for the youth to attend as a group to go to Give Kids the World in Kissimmee to do community service www.gktw.org There are many things you can do there depending on your age. We serve food, volunteer at the ice cream shop, play with the kids, and much more! The 4th Sunday will be the Youth ministry Core Team Meetings.

Middle School Teens will meet from 4-5:30 pm and high school teens 6:00-8:30 pm, beginning on Sept. 1, 2011. On a regular youth night we start off with a Bible study, then we have dinner, and then we go into the topic of the night. We also attend retreats, spiritual reflection day, and Christian Concerts. There are many great opportunities for teens to grow in their relationship with Christ!

El propósito de nuestro ministerio es el de involucrar a nuestros jóvenes en la parroquia y nuestra comunidad mientras profundizamos la fe y la relación con Dios. Nuestro ministerio es para jóvenes de escuela intermedia y superior. Nos reunimos todas las semanas de 6-8 p.m. en el Safety Center en Avalon Park en la calle Founder’s Square Drive. Durante nuestras reuniones, comenzamos con un estudio Bíblico, luego cenamos y después entramos al tema de la noche. El tercer domingo del mes hacemos diferentes cosas, tales como ir a patinar sobre hielo, ir al “bowling”, visitar el Santuario de “Mary Queen of the Universe”, ir al Centro San Pedro, etc. El tercer sábado del mes vamos a hacer trabajo voluntario en “Give Kids the World” en Kissimmee www.gktw.org Hay varias formas en las que pueden ayudar en este lugar dependiendo de su edad. Algunas cosas que pueden hacer son servir comida, ayudar en la heladería, trabajar en el carrusel, entre otras cosas! También participamos de retiros, días de reflexion y conciertos cristianos. Hay varias oportunidades para que los jóvenes crezcan en su relación con Cristo!
